HEIC to SVG
Decode an iPhone HEIC or HEIF photo and save an SVG of curves, a PNG, or a JPEG.
If decoding fails, nothing is downloaded. PNG is lossless after the decode. JPEG is a re-encode at the quality you set.
iPhones save photos as HEIC. This page decodes the photo, then you can trace it into an SVG of curves or save a PNG or JPEG. If the file cannot be decoded, nothing is downloaded. The SVG has no photo inside it. Camera data such as location is not kept.
- 1Drop a .heic or .heif file.
- 2Pick PNG or JPEG.
- 3Download the file.
SVG vector writes curve paths. The photo is not pasted inside the file, so zooming does not turn it into blocks.

Questions
- Does every HEIC open?
- Only files the bundled decoder understands. Live Photo sidecars are not included.
- Is the JPEG the original quality?
- It is a re-encode at the quality you set, defaulting high. PNG does not compress the decoded pixels again.
- Nothing is uploaded. Closing the tab drops the file.
- The decode runs in the page.
